About us
About us
A team that plans resettlement in Lao PDR and stays to carry it out: compensation, relocation, livelihood restoration and community development.
Our strengths
What we bring
Compensation
We measure every affected asset with its owner present, value it at replacement cost under the approved unit rates, and prepare the agreements that husband and wife both sign.
Livelihood restoration
We design agriculture, livestock, fisheries and off-farm options from what households say they want to do, and follow household income until it is restored.
Community development
We help a new village organise itself: its committees, school, health post and water supply, and support for households that need more help.
Principles
How we work
- 01
With the committees, not around them
Resettlement in Lao PDR is led by provincial and district committees. We work as their technical arm, preparing the surveys, records and plans they review and approve.
- 02
Records households can check
Each household receives a copy of its asset record and signs it before any value is calculated.
- 03
Compensation before clearing
Land is not cleared and families do not move until compensation is paid and the new site is ready.
- 04
Results measured by income
A livelihood programme is finished when household incomes are restored, not when the training has been delivered.

Planning a project that will move people or take land?
Tell us the project type, location and stage. We will reply with the surveys, plans and approvals it is likely to need.
